What is a Homecare / Private Duty Agency?
A homecare/private duty agency provides non-medical staff specializing in the care of individuals in homes, hospitals and convalescent centers as needed.
Are caregivers insured and bonded?
Yes, the agency is insured with Professional liability (Errors and Omissions, E&O), General Liability and Fidelity Bond.
Does the agency carry workers comp insurance?
Yes, all employees are covered with workers compensation insurance
Will we always receive care from the same caregiver?
AMPLE will make every effort to consistently provide the same caregiver at all times based on availability and within State regulations.
Who is AMPLE Care Services?
AMPLE Homecare is founded by Lewin Harrison who has many years of experience working in the health care industry beginning in 1980.
Can clients choose caregivers?
Yes, interviews can be arranged with multiple caregivers if requested.
Can AMPLE caregivers assist with medication?
Yes, caregivers can provide medication reminders only. State licensed providers like MD, RN, NP, PA and LVN can assist with medication.
Are the services provided by the agency covered by insurance?
Homecare services are usually not covered by regular insurance or Medicare, however, Long Term Care, LTC, policies usually have Homecare benefits. AMPLE will accept payment from LTC policies if the clients authorize such payments and insurer accepts the charges invoiced by Agency.
Is a caregiver paid directly by client?
No, caregivers are normally employees of AMPLE and as such are paid directly by AMPLE. Caregivers are not authorized to accept any payments from a client.
How soon can a patient change service?
Our operating policy is dictated by our contract which is seven (7) days.
How is the privacy of my personal information maintained?
We adhere strictly to HIPPA policies.
How are services paid for?
Payments can be made by cash, check, ACH, Zelle, credit/debit cards, LTC or private insurance upon verification and approval. Payments for services must not be paid directly to any caregiver except if agency provides a written authorization to do so.
What if the family accepts a caregiver on a referral basis?
The family will be required to pay the agency a referral fee, pay the caregiver directly and be responsible for all activities relating to the caregiver including workers comp, payroll, insurance, scheduling, etc.
What are the costs of homecare services?
Cost is based upon the level of care required and provided.
